Hand Stretch Film for Manual Pallet Wrapping

Not every operation needs a stretch wrapper. For facilities with lower pallet volumes, irregular loads, or floor-level wrapping needs, hand stretch film gets the job done — provided you're using the right gauge and width for your load. PAC·ZELON supplies hand stretch film across a full range of specifications, with color options and width configurations that machine film doesn't typically support.
  • ✓ 15μm to 30μm — gauge matched to your load weight and wrap frequency
  • ✓ Five width categories — from 50mm mini rolls to 500mm standard, including e-commerce sizes
  • ✓ Multiple colors standard — clear, black, blue, red, green, custom

Why Buyers Work With PAC·ZELON

Width range that covers every application in one place From 50mm mini rolls for component bundling to 500mm standard rolls for pallet wrapping — and mid-range widths for e-commerce and parcel operations. No need to source different widths from different vendors.

Gauge guidance included If you’re not sure whether 18μm or 23μm is the right call for your load profile, we’ll tell you — based on pallet weight, load shape, and how many passes your team typically runs. Wrong gauge costs more than the film itself in wasted wrap and rewraps.

Flexible order quantities Trial quantities available before committing to bulk. Suitable for distributors stocking multiple widths, direct buyers with seasonal volume variation, and operations scaling up from low to mid volume.

Export documentation COA, MSDS, and custom labeling available for buyers shipping to end customers or requiring traceability documentation.

Common Applications

Warehouse and distribution operations Standard 450–500mm rolls for manual pallet wrapping where machine investment isn’t justified by volume.

E-commerce fulfillment Mid and narrow widths (200–300mm) for parcel reinforcement, bundle wrapping, and securing boxed goods before outbound shipment.

Manufacturing and component handling Mini rolls for in-process bundling, part protection, and securing sub-assemblies between production stages.

Retail and display packaging Colored film for shelf-ready bundling, promotional multipacks, or load identification in high-SKU environments.

Export and freight consolidation Black or colored film for tamper visibility on export pallets moving through multiple handling points.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between hand and machine stretch film? Hand stretch film is wound at lower tension and designed to be applied manually — the operator stretches the film during wrapping. Machine film is pre-tensioned for use with powered stretch wrappers and is not suitable for hand application (the force required makes it impractical and the roll weight is too high). If you’re wrapping by hand, use hand film; if you’re running a wrapper, use machine film.

What gauge should I use for my pallets? A starting point: 15μm for light loads under 200kg, 18–20μm for standard mixed pallets up to 500kg, 23μm+ for heavy or irregular loads above 500kg or with sharp edges. The number of wrapping passes also matters — fewer passes with thicker film, or more passes with thinner film, can reach similar load security. See our full gauge selection guide [link to Buying Guide].

What widths do you stock? Standard 450mm and 500mm in most gauges. Mid-range (300–400mm) and e-commerce widths (200–250mm) available on request. Mini rolls (50–150mm) for bundling applications. Custom widths available for larger orders.

Can I get film in multiple colors for the same order? Yes. Mixed-color orders are supported — useful for operations that use color to differentiate load types, destinations, or handling priority. Contact us with your color and quantity breakdown.

What’s the minimum order quantity? Varies by specification and color. Contact us with your target gauge, width, and approximate monthly volume for a straightforward answer.

Tell us what you’re wrapping — we’ll match the spec.

Send us your load type, pallet weight, and current film gauge (if you have one). We’ll come back with a matched recommendation and pricing.

Find the Right Film for Your Application

Standard pallets, general warehousing
18–20μm covers most manual wrapping applications. Reliable cling, manageable weight per roll, and enough puncture resistance for stable uniform loads.

Heavy or irregular loads
23–30μm for loads that shift, have protruding edges, or need to hold through multiple handling points. Thicker film also reduces the number of wrap passes required, which matters when your team is wrapping by hand all day.

Light loads, e-commerce parcels, retail bundling
15μm where load weight is low and cost per wrap matters more than puncture resistance. Also suitable for bundling rather than full pallet wrapping.

Narrow wrapping, small parcels, or detail work
Mini rolls (50–150mm wide) for wrapping individual items, bundling components, or securing awkward shapes that a standard 450–500mm roll can’t handle cleanly.

Color-coded wrapping or tamper visibility
Colored film (black, blue, red, green, and others) for load identification by destination, product category, or handling priority. Black film specifically for tamper-evident or UV-sensitive shipments — see our Black Stretch Film.
